Where are you located?
1940 West Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, 36524. Exactly 3.5 miles west, straight down the beach road, from the Hwy 59 “T” and the HangOut. MAP LINK
What about parking?
There is a max of 3 parking passes included in your “ALL IN” quote. In peak season, we can’t provide more than three, but in off-season, ask if you need a 4th parking pass. Parking passes are $25 each plus tax. We have a porte-cochere where you can unload using the utility carts, and then the parking lot is open parking (no assigned spots).
Do I have to cross a street to get to the beach?
YES- it is a one-lane-each-way, not busy street, and not a thru-street as it dead ends just past us. The walk from our elevator exit is .08 of a mile to our gated beach access, or less than a third of one lap on a high school track. About 90 seconds to walk. We are surrounded by low-rise houses so this is not a congested area. WE PROVIDE: a rolling beach cart, a rolling cooler, and several beach towels, plus the kayak and paddle mounted by the lagoon dock. We also provide four folding/sand beach chairs and there is chair service available also. You can call or text BEACH LIFE CHAIR SERVICE: 251-609-1018 the night before to reserve and have chairs delivered. You will never fight for space at our beach access – nor have to look through other umbrellas to enjoy the view!
What do you provide and what do I need to bring?
Our home is set up just like yours with all the linens, clean-lines bedding, all bath towels, a variety of pillows, etc. Just bring your personal grooming items and groceries, and umbrella, extra chairs, etc.
What’s in the kitchen? Do you have a coffee maker, a blender, and a crock pot?
We have both a Keurig AND regular drip coffee maker; toaster; ice-crushing KitchenAid blender; crock pot; hand mixer; all utensils, dishes, cookware, tupperware, glasses and wine glasses, and a walk-in pantry. Just bring your groceries! Our spice cabinet is full and feel free to use any condiments left in fridge, at your own risk. The fridge has a water and ice dispenser. Additional ice machine in wet bar.
What do you provide for starter supplies?
We provide 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom (8 total), two kitchen trash bags, laundry detergent, hand soap at each sink, and dishwashing detergent for dishwasher and by hand. Please don’t deplete the cleaning crew’s laundry detergent as they provide that and need it to complete your departure cleaning.
Are there activities and restaurants close by?
Our location is perfect – quiet and peaceful with a beach access just for our building…yet minutes back to all the restaurants and activities. We are 3.5 miles back to Hwy 59 “T” and you’ll have multiple grocery stores, souvenir shops, drug stores, fast food, and over 30 restaurants within a 5 – 6 minute drive. Also the zoo, Waterville Amusement & water park, putt-putt, State Park pier, and many activities within minutes. The new OWA theme park and the Tanger Outlet stores are both about a 20 minute drive depending on traffic.
What time is check-in – and what time do we need to check out?
Guaranteed check-in time is 3pm or later.
Check OUT time is 10am. The cleaning crew has authority to enter your condo at 10am so please be prompt. **During non-peak seasons, we can sometimes extend your times but it must be approved in writing, in advance, so that I can re-schedule cleaning crew.
What fees are there on top of the nightly rate?
All fees are passed on to the appropriate party and here is how we get to your total:
-base nightly (X number nights) or weekly rate
+ add one-time departure cleaning of $275
+ add parking passes at $25 each
+ 13% Alabama lodging taxes to subtotal from above
+ add one-time $49 damage insurance which is IN LIEU OF a sizable security deposit
How do you accept payments? Do I have to pay it all at once?
We accept all major credit/debit cards, but not PayPal. First payment must be by credit/debit card, but final payment can be by check or CC.
DOWN PAYMENT of appx 25% is due upon booking.
BALANCE DUE appx 60 days in advance.
SHORT NOTICE: If you are 30 days or less from check-in, all payments due at once.
TO BOOK: we use a professional reservation system which works like a hotel website, easy breezy. Just let me know if and when you are ready to place down payment and I can send the link to your email.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
Review the policy carefully for complete understanding. Call us if you have any questions OR if your booking is 30 days or longer.
All cancellations will result in payment of a 10% admin fee.
For Vacations less than one month in duration: Cancellations that are made MORE THAN 60 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL will be refunded their initial down payment, minus an administrative fee of 10%. Cancellations made WITHIN 60 DAYS OF ARRIVAL or changes to contract that result in a shortened stay, will forfeit all payments. Early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
AS A COUTESY TO OUR GUESTS WHOSE CANCELLATION RESULTS IN LOSING PAYMENTS (does not apply to the administrative/cancellation fee), we will put your dates back on the rental market and try to re-book them. If we can secure another guest for a similar price, we will issue a refund minus cancellation fee; however, any differences in rental revenue will also be deducted from the refund. (We often must reduce our nightly rental price to entice guests to book on short notice.) There are no guarantees that we will be able to re-book your dates or refund your money.
We will work diligently to re-book the dates so that we can refund to you as much as possible. When you book and we reserve those dates for you, we must assume you are coming – in good faith. When you cancel, we have already declined other opportunities to book those dates to potential guests.
WHAT IF THERE IS A HURRICANE or TROPICAL STORM?
WEATHER/ HURRICANE/ STORM POLICY – No weather refunds are given – no exceptions. Weather is out of our control and predictions are unreliable. At time of booking, you will be offered the below trip insurance policy.

How do I get the keys? Where do I check in?
About 15 days before check-in and after final payment, I will send a very thorough PDF attachment by email TO YOUR REGULAR EMAIL (not VRBO or other portao) with full details for check in, including keys, wi-fi password, electronics, parking, etc. so look in spam if you don’t see it by a couple weeks prior. It will say “ACCESS” in the subject line so check spam if you don’t have that email PDF about 2 weeks out.
Is the condo kid-friendly? What about pets? Can I smoke?
YES – we are very kid friendly and make sure we don’t decorate with the temptations of small items where you need to constantly say “don’t touch!”. And kids LOVE our bunk beds!
NO – Pets are not allowed in the building at all (except owners) and that is a COA rule and enforced by security. You will be evicted if found with a pet.
NO SMOKING – you may not smoke in the condo or in the common areas (no smoking in pool areas), but feel free to smoke on the balcony. Just don’t leave the sliders open, since the breeze pushes the smoke into the condo and you may be charged for additional cleaning due to smoking if there is ANY smell of smoke in the condo.
